DJI Lito 1 & X1: Launched Globally, Blocked in the US

DJI launched the Lito 1 and Lito X1 on April 23, 2026 across the UK, EU, and international markets through DJI.com and authorized retailers. Pricing starts at €339 / £299 for the Lito 1 and €419 / £369 for the Lito X1. Neither model is sold in the US — no FCC authorization has been filed, making the Lito the second direct casualty of the DJI ban fight after the Osmo Pocket 4 (blocked at launch on April 16).

Launched April 23, 2026 — available in the UK, EU, and other international markets via DJI.com and authorized retailers. Not available in the US— no FCC authorization has been filed, and coverage (DroneDJ, DroneXL) indicates the Lito is unlikely to reach the US market in 2026. See our US availability guide for the full ban-casualty context.

Why no US release?

The Lito is the second DJI product in 2026 to launch globally while being blocked from US sale. The first was the Osmo Pocket 4 (April 16). Both share the same regulatory cause: the Countering CCP Drones Act places DJI on the FCC Covered List, so any product that has not already obtained FCC certification cannot be sold in the US. DJI has not filed an FCC authorization request for either Lito model.

The situation is reinforced by the Pentagon’s April 12–13 classified-intel filings opposing DJI’s FCC petition. With no federal security review underway and Pentagon opposition on the record, there is no near-term path for DJI to bring the Lito to the US. For the full regulatory context see our complete US availability guide.

Lito vs Mini series

Globally, the Lito line replaces the Mini series. The Lito 1 steps into the slot the Mini 4K occupied as the entry-level sub-250g option, and the Lito X1 replaces the Mini 5 Pro at the top of the sub-250g range.

In the US, the Mini 4K remains the de-facto entry-level DJI drone because the Lito cannot ship. On Lito launch day, several US retailers dropped the Mini 4K to a record-low price — a direct market reaction to the Lito block. If you are a US buyer looking for a sub-250g DJI drone in 2026, the Mini 4K (or Mini 5 Pro, while stock lasts) is currently the only official path.

Where to buy

  • DJI.com— direct-from-DJI ordering is live for the UK, EU, and supported international regions.
  • Authorized retailers — major European photo/drone retailers are carrying both models from launch day.
  • US buyers: no path. The Lito is not sold by Amazon US, B&H Photo, or the DJI US store. Importing from outside the US is technically possible but voids warranty and can create customs and firmware region issues — we do not recommend it for most buyers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the DJI Lito available in the US?

No. The DJI Lito 1 and Lito X1 launched globally on April 23, 2026 but are not sold in the US. No FCC authorization has been filed, and the drones are unlikely to reach the US market in 2026. This makes the Lito the second direct casualty of the FCC ban fight, after the Osmo Pocket 4 (blocked at global launch on April 16).

What is the DJI Lito?

The DJI Lito is a new sub-250g drone product line that launched April 23, 2026 as the global replacement for the DJI Mini series. Two models shipped: the entry-level Lito 1 (€339 / £299) and the advanced Lito X1 (€419 / £369 with LiDAR and 14-stop HDR).

DJI Lito 1 vs Lito X1 — which should I buy?

The Lito 1 is the budget entry-level model at €339 with a 1/2-inch sensor, f/1.8 aperture, 4K/60fps, and 36 minutes of flight time. The Lito X1 at €419 has a larger 1/1.3-inch CMOS, f/1.7, 14-stop HDR, 10-bit D-Log M color, forward-facing LiDAR, and 42GB of onboard storage. Pick the Lito 1 for first-time flying; pick the X1 for night flying, serious video, or professional color workflows.

Where can I buy the DJI Lito?

Both models are available now on DJI.com and through authorized retailers in the UK, EU, and other international markets. The drones are not sold in the US, and DJI has not indicated when or if they will be. Importing from outside the US is possible but voids warranty and may create customs and firmware region issues.

Is the DJI Lito replacing the Mini series?

Globally, yes. The Lito 1 replaces the Mini 4K as the entry-level sub-250g option, and the Lito X1 replaces the Mini 5 Pro line. In the US, however, the Mini 4K remains the de-facto entry-level DJI drone because the Lito is blocked from US sale — on Lito launch day, retailers dropped the Mini 4K to a record-low US price.
